Man fatally shot in Clarendon, firearm seized
A 22-year-old man who pointed a gun at lawmen attached to the May Pen Police Station was fatally shot and the weapon seized at Savannah Cross, Clarendon this morning.
Reports are that about 8:30 a.m., the officers went to Savannah Cross to accost a man known to them as Odean Reid, otherwise called “Face” and “Mutt”, in connection with crimes committed in the area. When the officers alighted from their vehicle and approached the man he pulled a gun and pointed it at them and was shot. The injured man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Bureau of Special Investigations is probing the incident.
