Two men shot in Portmore, one fatally
Two men were shot, one fatally by gunmen at, Newlands, Portmore, St. Catherine earlier this afternoon.
The man killed has been identified as Nickous Lewis otherwise called “Cat” while injured is a 42-year-old man both of Newlands.
The CCN is reporting that about 2:40 p.m., Lewis was standing in a section of the community when he was pounced on by three gunmen who opened fire, hitting him. The injured Lewis reportedly ran but was chased by his attackers and again shot repeatedly. He died on the spot; the hoodlums then fled. The 42- year-old man, who was in close proximity of the shooting, was found suffering from a gunshot wound. The police were alerted and the injured man taken to hospital where he was admitted in stable condition. Detectives, who remain in the area, processed the crime scene and Lewis’ body was removed to the morgue for post mortem.
Detectives from the Portmore CIB who are probing the incident are seeking three men known as “Duttyman” and “Pastor” both of Portsmouth, Portmore, St. Catherine and “Sasley” of 2 Miles, Spanish Town Road, Kingston 13 who they believed can assist in their investigation.
