Six men charged for breaches of the dangerous drug act
Six men were arrested and charged for breaching the Dangerous Drug Act after they were found in possession of over 400 pounds of ganja at Dalvie canal, Golden Grove, St. Thomas yesterday.
Charged are Fabion Davis, 25 and Clayton Reid, 27, of Dalvie district and Percival Neuville, 33; Sean Matthews, 32; Steven Mills, 34; Robert Robinson, 30, all of addresses in Portland.
Reports from received by the CCN’s Liaison Officer for St. Thomas are that between the hours of 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 6 and 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, an operation was carried out in Manchioneal and Golden Grove in Portland and St. Thomas respectively. During the exercise a canoe was seen at Manchioneal. The vessel was intercepted at Dalvie and when searched, ganja weighing 401 pounds found. The six who were aboard were taken into custody.
The Narcotics Police are investigating.
