Man kills common law-wift and himself in Manchester
The Mandeville CIB in Manchester has commenced investigations into the circumstances in which a 39-year-old man stabbed his common-law-wife to death then killed himself at Manchester Road in the parish this morning.
Dead are Wilbert Richards otherwise called “Dummy”, of Newport district, Knockpatrick and Judith Currie, 26, of Comfort district both in Manchester.
Reports received by the CCN are that about 9:30 a.m., Richards went to Currie’s workplace where a dispute developed between them. During the confrontation, he used a dagger to stab her several times. A patron who went to her aid was attacked by Richards but managed to escape. Richards then used the dagger and stabbed himself. He and Currie were taken to the Mandeville Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Investigations continue.
