Sleuths investigate suspected murder, suicide in Trelawny
The Clarkes Town Police in Trelawny has commenced investigation into deaths of a woman – whose body was found with multiple stab wounds, and her common-law-husband, whose body was found hanging by a length of rope at their home at Hyde district in the parish yesterday.
Dead are Nichola Brown and Nirone Simpson both 25 years old.
Information received by the CCN is that about 5:15 p.m., the police were summoned to the home of the couple who were heard quarrelling. Lawmen who responded did not get a response from either of the couple when they knocked on the door. The officers managed to open the door of the house and found Brown’s body at the door way; it had multiple stab wounds. Simpson’s body was later found suspended by a length of rope from a beam in the ceiling of the bathroom. The crime scene was processed and the bodies removed to the morgue for post mortem.
The Clarkes Town Police who are investigating have theorized that Simpson stabbed Brown to death then hanged himself. They further stated that the couple has been having problems which often escalated into a fight.
