Andrew Pryce was remanded when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magis-trate’s Court on Friday for defrauding yet another business.

Pryce had told the court that he would make contact with someone to pay the complainants, however that person did not appear in court. Pryce was remanded until November 10.

Sell rice and cooking oil

Pryce appeared to answer a charge of larceny by trickery after he allegedly attempted to sell rice and cooking oil to a Chinese businessman in downtown Kingston.

Allegations are that he went to the complainant and sold him a quantity of rice and cooking oil amounting to $69,000 and also charged him an additional $1,000 for delivery. The complainant allegedly paid for the goods, while the accused told him that he would return in a few days with the bill.

However the accused never returned and other persons came with receipts claiming the items, which were handed over to the police.
