Body Found in May Pen, Clarendon

The body of a 57-year-old watchman was found at a garage on Manchester Avenue in May Pen, Clarendon, on Sunday morning. 

Dead is Clinton Williams of Juno Crescent, May Pen.

Police reports are that about 8:30 a.m., Williams’ body was discovered by his employer who called the police. Close inspection by investigators revealed gunshot wounds. Detectives from the May Pen CIB are investigating.

Two men dead
Detectives from the St Catherine North Homicide Unit have commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the killing of two men in separate incidents in the Old Capital last Saturday.

Dead are Wayne Salmon 39, taxi operator and Courtney Brown, 27, both of Berry Close, Lauriston, St Catherine.

Police reports from the CCN are that about 10:00 a.m., Salmon was at home when he was pounced on by unknown assailants who attacked and stabbed him several times. He ran from the house and was assisted to hospital by residents, where he was pronounced dead.

In the second incident about 11:50 a.m., Brown’s body was discovered by residents on Oxford Road and the police summoned. Close inspection of the body by investigators revealed that it had gunshot wounds.

50-year-old killed at bar
A 50-year-old man who was shot at a bar at Waltham Park Road, Kingston 10, last Saturday, later succumbed to his injuries at the University Hospital.

The dead man has been identified as Donald Bailey of Woodpecker Avenue, Kingston 11.

According to police reports about 12:15 a.m., Bailey was at a bar when a man entered and approached him. The man immediately pulled a handgun and opened fire, hitting Bailey. He was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries about 5:20 a.m.

The Half-Way Tree police are investigating.
